History[edit]
F.Y.P, or the Five Year Plan, was a punk rock of Todd Congelliere that preceded the more recent bands Toys That Kill and Underground Railroad to Candyland. The group began as a one-man band with a cheap Fisher Pricedrum machine providing the beat.[citation needed]Congelliere began work with F.Y.P in 1989, and disbanded it in 1999. The band saw improvements to its talent and gained notoriety in the DIY[clarification needed] punk scene for touring the world several times,[when?] bankrolled and set up by the Conge.[clarification needed][citation needed]
During this ten-year span, F.Y.P toured Europe several times,[when?][citation needed] Japan once,[when?][citation needed] and the U.S. numerous times.[when?][citation needed] In that time, they released over a dozen records on the Recess Records label,[clarification needed][when?][citation needed] and received coverage in music magazines such as Maximumrocknroll,[citation needed]Razorcake,[citation needed] and Flipside.[citation needed]
